This campaign was inspired by an elementary school project, "the classic shoe box diorama". Branding elements for the retail windows were derived from the different print ads made for specific team riders. Each location showcased the boardshorts' technical fabric (Diamond Dobby) and Quiksilver's world-famous team riders. The graphic and photo elements were directly printed on hard and soft substrates, cut out, and then arranged in layers. Cut and weed vinyl on the glass, free-standing router cut foam boards, and large format hanging vinyl banners and actual sand or large foam cut waves added along the bottom of the windows. This style of custom window was featured in specialty retailers along with a more standard window vinyl application.
